The team of four students consisting of Bibas Athanasios, Kourounis George, Kitsakis George and Togias Stefanos representing Harokopio University and the GDSC HUA Chapter managed to stand out in the top 10 teams of Google Solution Challenge 2022, among about 1000 teams worldwide.

The overall mission of Google Solution Challenge 2022 is to contribute with the 17 identified goals of Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations.

The team participated in the competition by developing an Android application, with the aim of trying to put an end to the lack of information about blood donation and the fight against prejudices that citizens may have. It is also noteworthy that it is the only Greek team in the competition that participated and was distinguished! On 28/7/2022, 6:00 pm Greek time, you can watch the live broadcast of the event where the three winners of the competition will be announced.
