Angelos Skoufis

Short CV: Angelos is member of Nokias Athens 5G FWA Product Testing team. Ioannis Korontanis

Short CV: Ioannis Korontanis (male) is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Informatics and Telematics of Harokopio University of Athens. He received his BSc from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Technological Education Institute of Thessaly. He received his MSc “Web Technologies and Applications” at the Department of Informatics and Telematics of Harokopio University of Athens. The topic of his PhD thesis is “Computer Infrastructure Models and Optimal Resource Orchestration”. His main research interests include distributed and real-time processing, cloud modelling languages & application models in Cloud & Edge, Cloud & Edge monitoring systems, CI/CD, Dev Ops and Big Data Analysis. Maria Sdraka

Short CV: Maria Sdraka received her MSc diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 2016. She then worked as a research assistant at the Artificial Intelligence and Learning Systems laboratory (former Intelligent Systems laboratory) of ECE NTUA, where she mainly worked on the analysis and manipulation of medical images to support timely diagnosis and evaluation. Between 2018 and 2020 she also worked as a professional Software Engineer at a major e-commerce company designing and developing tools for the automation of content handling pipelines. Since 2021 she has been working as a researcher at the National Observatory of Athens and at the same time she has been pursuing a PhD at the Department of Informatics and Telematics, at Harokopio University, focusing on the development and application of Machine Learning techniques on big Earth Observation data for the damage assessment and monitoring of natural disasters.

Vasiliki Margariti

Short CV: Vasiliki(Vicky) Margariti is a PhD candidate in the area of Informatic Systems Interoperability, at the Department of Informatics and Telematics at Harokopio University of Athens, Greece. She holds a BSc Degree in Computer Science from Hellenic Open University in Greece, a BSc Degree in Automation Engineering from University of West Attica, and an MSc Degree in Data Communication Systems from Brunel University London in UK. She is an experienced Software Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the information technology and services industry both in private and in public sector. For the last 3 years she has acted as the Head of e-Government and Interoperability Unit at the Hellenic Ministry of Digital Governance and served as the National Representative at the Interoperability Expert Group of European Commission. During her service, she coordinated the design and implementation of the new National Interoperability Framework in alignment with the European strategy for interoperability. Short CV: Dimitris Gkoulis is a third-year doctoral student in the Department of Informatics and Telematics at Harokopio University, supervised by Professor Mara Nikolaidou. He earned his degree in Informatics and Telematics in 2017 and his master's degree in Web Engineering in 2019, earning distinction and the "Georgios Karampatzos" performance scholarship. He specializes in full-stack programming, software technology, and distributed systems. Georgios Chatzithanasis

Eleni Nolka

Short CV: Ms. Nolka Eleni was born in Naoussa, Imathia. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from the University of Crete in July 2003. Subsequently, she completed her Postgraduate Diploma in "Educational Sciences" with a specialization in "Sciences, Mathematics Education and New Technologies" at the Department of Primary Education of the University of Western Macedonia, in January 2015. Since March 2020 she is a PhD candidate at the Department of Informatics and Telematics of Harokopio University.From 2007 until today, she works as a permanent teacher in secondary education (appointment through ASEP exams). Christos Chronis

Eleni Politi

Vasileios Gkolemis

Short CV: Vasilis Gkolemis is a 2nd-year PhD candidate (2022-) in Explainable AI under the supervision of Prof. Christos Diou, Eirini Ntoutsi, and Theodore Dalamagas. Simultaneously, he works as a Research Associate at ATHENA RC. Previously, he completed his MSc at the University of Edinburgh (2019-2021) and obtained his 5-year Diploma from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2011-2017).His research focuses on Explainable AI, particularly on (a) creating novel explainable-by-design models and/or (b) developing novel explainability techniques for black-box models. Evangelos Psomakelis

Short CV: Evangelos Psomakelis is a PhD candidate at the Department of Informatics and Telematics of Harokopio University of Athens and a research collaborator at the Distributed Knowledge and Computer Systems Laboratory of the National Technical University of Athens. He is a graduate of the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of Harokopio University, with a Master's degree in Computer Science from the same university. Angelos Zavras

Short CV: Angelos is currently enrolled as a PhD candidate at the Harokopio University of Athens. He is also affiliated with the OrionLab research group, which is associated with the Remote Sensing Lab of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and the National Observatory of Athens (NOA). Theodoros Theodoropoulos

Apostolos Angelis
