Title: Middleware development for the optimal replica placement in distributed key-value stores
Description: This project considers the problem of replica data placement under two, typically opposing, concerns:
- maximizing locality, by storing replicas of the data in the nodes that access them more frequently, typically subject to constraints on the object replication degree and on the capacity of the nodes
- maximizing look-up speed, by ensuring that a copy of an object can be located as quickly as possible.
