Expected Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will have acquired the following basic knowledge, skills and abilities:
Understanding the concept and importance of entrepreneurship and innovation
Understanding innovation models
Understanding the business model and its design tools.
Generating and Developing innovative ideas with value for potential customers
Application of tool and methods for designing, developing and evaluating new services/ products
Building business plans
Effective pitching for funding
Designing appropriate business plans per business case
Application of methods for verification and validation of services/ products
Learning of tools and platforms for designing prototypes of new products/ services
Content
The course aims to provide knowledge on innovation and entrepreneurship to the students, which apply in practice all the phases of developing innovative ideas. Innovation and Entrepreneurial skills are cultivated and the full cycle of entrepreneurship is experienced by the students from identifying and assessing a business opportunity to developing a business plan, designing customer-oriented service/ product prototypes and building a start-up. More knowledge is provided concerning: types of entrepreneurship, innovation management, business models, funding of start-ups, minimum viable product.
