Expected Outcomes

The purpose of the course is to provide the necessary knowhow to students to upgrade their professional skills related to modern methods of design, monitoring, execution and general ΙΤ project management.

Content

The Course aims to understand the main concepts and methodologies of Project Management related to IT and Digital Transformation projects. Methodologically, we study the principles and subjects of the Project Management Institutes methodology, while the lectures also covers targeted methods of project management and development of implementations such as agile, etc. During the lectures and the workshops a number of examples and case studies related to IT Project Management are covered.

The learning objectives concern the development of an integrated project plan (Project Plan) and the individual work development structures (WBS) as well as the utilization of tools and techniques for the execution of tasks with the aim of successfully starting the productive operation of systems. Main Learning Modules concern life cycle planning, creation of baseline deliverables, scheduling techniques and methods, drafting and monitoring of budget sheets, risk management and development of mitigation plans, utilization of CPM/PERT methods, work progress monitoring techniques and human-effort, in the formation of the appropriate performance indicators for project assessment.
