Την Τετάρτη 2/3/2016 και ώρα 17.30 θα πραγματοποιηθεί προσκεκλημένη διάλεξη στο ΠΜΣ του Τμήματος από τον κ. Βασίλη Δημόπουλο, Vice President Oracle Corporation, Egypt, North Africa & Central Asia Technology / Big Data & Engineered Systems ECEMEA.
Ο τίτλος της διάλεξης είναι “Digital Disruption: how successful organizations will transform and thrive”.
Η διάλεξη θα εστιαστεί σε σύγχρονες τεχνολογίες πληροφορικής (σχετικες με cloud, big data, internet of things κλπ), τους λόγους για τους οποίους είναι σημαντικό οι οργανισμοι να τις ενστερνιστουν και πως αν δεν το κάνουν κινδυνεύουν να απωλεσουν την πρωτοκαθεδρια τους και να δουν άγνωστους ανταγωνιστές να αλλαζουν τα δεδομένα της αγορας με ταχυτατο και αναπάντεχο τρόπο.
Η διάλεξη απευθύνεται και στις τρεις κατευθύνσεις, στο πλαίσιο του μαθήματος «Μεθοδολογία Έρευνας, Τεχνολογίες και Εφαρμογές Πληροφορικής και Τηλεματικής».

Vasilis Dimopoulos is the Vice President in charge of the Oracle Technology Business for Egypt, North Africa and Central Asia. In parallel to that he is the Eastern & Central Europe, Middle East and Africa (ECEMEA) Leader for Oracle Engineered Systems and Big Data, since June 2015. In this role, he is responsible for setting up and driving the associated go-to-market strategy and overall sales plays across the territory. By doing so he is directly responsible for the development and management of the related Sales organizations. Vasilis Dimopoulos joined Oracle in January 2005 as Chairman & Managing Director of Oracle Hellas. Parallel to that, in 2007, he was appointed Vice President for the GCMM Cluster of Countries as well as the Eastern Europe & CIS Communications and Media Industry Business Unit. In 2010 he was appointed Vice President for the Applications Business Unit in Eastern & Central Europe and CIS and in 2012 he assumed a much wider responsibility including several applications domains in ECEMEA. Prior to his current role, he was the ECEMEA Leader for Oracle Engineered Systems. Before joining Oracle, Vasilis Dimopoulos held various leadership positions in his 17-years IBM career. He holds a BSc in Business Administration and an MSc in Computer Science. He speaks four languages. He is married and has three children. |
