Αγαπητοί Φοιτητές,
We would like to inform you that, according to decision no. 45/07.10.2016 of the Departmental Council of the Department of Informatics and Telematics, certain changes will be made to the Undergraduate Study Program, which will be implemented immediately.
These changes are intended to improve the quality and smooth flow of the curriculum as well as to give greater emphasis to contemporary scientific developments.
Changes to the Study Program are listed below by indicative semester of study:

The course ΥΠ03: Telecommunications is removed
Οι ώρες διδασκαλίας του μαθήματος ΥΠ09: Διακριτά Μαθηματικά αυξάνονται κατά 1.
Το μάθημα ΥΠ02: Εισαγωγή στον Προγραμματισμό μετονομάζεται σε Προγραμματισμός Ι.
Εξάμηνο 2
Το μάθημα ΥΠ06: Σήματα και Συστήματα μεταφέρεται στο 4ο εξάμηνο
The teaching hours of the course ΥΠ08: Computer Architecture are increased by 1.
Το μάθημα ΥΠ05: Προγραμματισμός Ι μετονομάζεται σε Προγραμματισμός ΙΙ.
Εξάμηνο 3
Το μάθημα ΥΠ14: Τηλεπικοινωνιακά Συστήματα μεταφέρεται στο 5ο εξάμηνο
The course ΥΠ13: Computer Networks I is renamed to Computer Networks and its teaching hours are increased by 1
The course ΥΠ18: Object-Oriented Programming is renamed to Object-Oriented Programming I.

The course YP10: Programming II is renamed to Object-Oriented Programming II.
The course ΥΠ19: Network Programming and Internet Services is renamed to Web Application Development.

The number of required courses for obtaining a degree now amounts to 43, with the same total ECTS credits.
The first-year students (admitted in the academic year 2016-17) will follow the new Study Program.
Students who entered the Department in previous academic years will follow the old curriculum with regard to the requirements for obtaining a degree. They attend the courses that are offered in the current form and semester.
The courses that are discontinued will not be taught. However, if a student has attended them and wishes to take exams in them, they will have this possibility (they will be examined).
In general, for courses that will cease to be taught, and provided students have not successfully passed them, they can either sit exams in the coming years or choose to replace them with an option from those offered from the 5th semester onward.
Replacement is carried out by a relevant declaration of the student to the Secretariat. Obviously both options cannot apply, that is, examination in the old courses and their replacement by some elective.
