On Thursday 30/3/2017 at 18:00 a guest lecture will take place in the postgraduate program of the Department of Informatics and Telematics by Mr. Nikos Christodoulou, Chief Operations Officer (COO) and acting Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the National Bank of Greece.

(a short biographical note follows):

 Nikos Christodoulou is General Manager of Operational Support of the Bank and the Group (Chief of Operations) since September 2016. He served as Group Chief Information Officer of the Bank and the Group (Group CIO) since September 2013. He joined the National Bank in November 2011 as Assistant General Manager of Information Technology of the Bank and the Group. Before joining the National Bank he was a Partner at the international business and technology consulting firm Accenture, head of the company's Consulting Services in Greece. He was also head of services in the Financial Sector. In his 15 years of consulting experience he worked for major banking organizations in Greece and Eastern Europe, on transformation programs, IT strategy projects, feasibility studies for technology investments, and the design of new operational and organizational models. Also since June 2013, he has been President of the Hellenic Institute of Informatics and Communications of E.E.D.E. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of ICAP and as a member of the Advisory Committee of the venture capital company Attica Ventures. He was President of the Observatory for the Information Society for four years and President of Digital Reinforcements S.A. for two years. He is an Electrical and Computer Engineer from the National Technical University of Athens. He holds a master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Warwick in England and a Doctorate (PhD) in Decision Systems from the National Technical University of Athens. He has also conducted research at INSEAD and the National Technical University of Athens.
