The Economic Chamber of Greece and the Department of Informatics and Telematics of Harokopio University signed a memorandum of cooperation.

The two organizations will cooperate on research into more specialized issues of economic interest, which will include the preparation of corresponding scientific proposals, the sharing of data for the conduct of research of common benefit, the design and evaluation of public policies at the European and national (central, regional, or local) level, as well as the training of the members of OEE through the holding of seminars and lifelong learning programs.

To achieve the above, the Department of Informatics and Telematics assumes the role of technical consultant to the OEE on information systems matters.

Additionally, the creation of a mixed Working Group is envisaged, which will focus its work on the processing of financial data and policies, concentrating on the formulation of relevant assessments, proposals and analyses. As part of the work of this Working Group there will also be the drafting and implementation of joint actions, each of which will be set out in detailed Agreements.

The memorandum of cooperation was signed by the President of the Economic Chamber of Greece, Mr. Konstantinos Kollias, the Rector of Harokopio University, Ms. Maria Nikolaidi, and the President of the Department of Informatics and Telematics, Mr. Demosthenis Anagnostopoulos.
