As part of the Seminar of our Department's Postgraduate Program, on Thursday 07/11/2019 Mr. Konstantinos Kopanidis, co‑founder and CEO of Quintessential, will give a lecture.

Mr. Konstantinos Kopanidis is co‑founder and CEO of Quintessential. He has been involved in computing for as long as he can remember, and has worked on distributed systems, software and systems architectures, artificial intelligence and other areas. Entrepreneurially, he has founded 2 startup companies to date and, in the last 2 years, together with 2 other friends, founded Quintessential, a Digital Product Agency that employs more than 10 people and serves dozens of clients.

The subject of the lecture is: Containers & Orchestration with Docker + Kubernetes

A short description follows:

The operation of Docker and what Containers are, how they can be used to run distributed high-traffic applications as well as to manage the overall deployment using Kubernetes.

The lecture will take place in the auditorium of the Department of Informatics and Telematics building (Omirou 9, Tavros), at 5:30 p.m.
We would also like to remind you that the lecture is part of the Seminar and attendance of postgraduate students is mandatory. Undergraduate students and PhD candidates of our department, as well as other university staff, may attend the lectures.
