The topic of the lecture is: “Kubernetes secret sauce, the network.”
A brief description follows:
Kubernetes is becoming the unofficial standard when it comes to container orchestration. The secret in its success is in the network abstractions it provides and the way it leverages them to offer features such as high availability and seamless upgrades. In this talk we will go over the basic functions of Kubernetes and focus on its networking aspects. We will discuss how its network components interact with each other to build stable foundations for effective workload hosting.
The speaker will be introduced by Dr. Dimitrios Michail, Assistant Professor of the Department.
The lecture will take place in the amphitheatre of the building of the Department of Informatics and Telematics (Omirou 9, Tavros), at 19:00 (and not at 18:00)
We would also like to remind you that the lecture is part of the Seminar and the attendance of postgraduate students is mandatory. Undergraduate students and doctoral candidates of our department, as well as the rest of the University staff, may attend the lectures.
We would be especially pleased by your presence,
