HEDNO is currently organizing a hackathon for the analysis of power grid data (datathon) with the aim of developing algorithmic machine learning models to detect deliberate non-technical electricity losses in HEDNO's network. This particular problem is one of the biggest challenges in the field of electricity distribution. The opportunity is offered to experiment in HEDNO's Sandbox mechanism as well as to train models with real data.

Participants must register participation teams (2-5 people) by 15 February. Then the implementation of the solution takes place from 15 February to 20 March. Today, 10 February, an online info day (15:00-18:00) is being held for the presentation of the competition:

In order to strengthen students' participation in such activities, the Department of Informatics and Telematics organizes teams to participate in this competition. Anyone interested is asked to fill out the following coordination form:

Please note that this form does not complete entry into the competition (there is a special procedure on the competition's site) but is an attempt to create an initial record of interested parties and to optimally form teams based on the interests and capabilities of each member. Subsequently, mentoring may be offered to the teams that will be formed. If you have a complete team you can also register it so that it is included in the mentoring, publicity, etc. processes.
