Took place today, Wednesday 6 October, the opening ceremony of the International Conference on the Theory and Practice of Electronic Governance ICEGOV 2021. The Conference is being held for the first time in Athens and specifically at Harokopio University, is co-organized by the University of the Aegean and the United Nations University and is under the auspices of the Ministry of Digital Governance.
After a long hiatus from holding scientific conferences in person, the ICEGOV 2021 was held in a hybrid format and thus participants had the opportunity to attend it in person, in the Amphitheatre of Harokopio University.
The first invited speaker was Secretary General of Information Systems of Public Administration at the Ministry of Digital Governance, Professor of the Department of Informatics and Telematics at Harokopio University Mr. Demosthenis Anagnostopoulos.
The Secretary General spoke about Digital governance in Greece, outlining a clear picture of the actions that have been adopted as best practices more broadly and especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Their innovation has brought our country to the forefront of digital change, improving its position in global rankings. It also focused on Greece's future potential to offer crucial solutions in the field of Digital Governance.
