On Thursday 08/06/2017 Mr. Nikolay Mehandjiev, a professor at the Manchester Business School, will give a lecture as part of the seminar of the postgraduate program of our Department.

The subject of the lecture is: “Design Science Research in ISE: The Master Students’ Guide to Design Research“. The lecture will take place in the amphitheater of the building of the Department of Informatics and Telematics (Omirou 9, Tavros), at 17:00 p.m.

We would also like to remind you that the lecture is part of the Seminar and attendance of postgraduate students is mandatory.

Professor Mehandjiev (www.mehandjiev.eu) has conducted design science research since starting his PhD in 1991. He has worked in computer science and management schools, has led two international workshops in interdisciplinary software engineering research and acted as guest editor on four special issues of international journals.  During his career, he has initiated and managed EC-funded and UK-funded projects worth  some €8m.. At present he is the head of the Management Sciences and Marketing Division of Alliance Manchester Business School, where the design science research is prominent alongside the more traditional behavioural research. Nikolay has had visiting positions with SAP Research Labs, Atos, BT, the University of New South Wales, and Tongji University in Shanghai. He has taught a wide variety of modules related to the strategic use of information systems for contemporary enterprises at MBA, Masters and Undergraduate levels.
