The subject of the lecture is: “Basic principles of Intent Based Networking (IBN), architectures and Software Defined solutions.

A brief description follows:

The network is becoming a central pillar of businesses' digital transformation. The new demands that arise require a radical change in the fundamental networking principles that have been used for more than 20 years. Software Defined Access & Software Defined WAN automate the way we design, deploy and secure Campus & WAN networks, integrating new protocols and software-based solutions and programmable interfaces (APIs). How network management is evolving into NetOps and what new knowledge and skills network administrators must acquire to manage not network devices anymore but software components that compose a network and its security.

The speaker will be introduced by Mr. Ριζομυλιώτης Παναγιώτης, Assistant Professor of the Department.

The lecture will take place in the amphitheater of the building of the Department of Informatics and Telematics (Omirou 9, Tavros), at 6:00 p.m.
